Nasi Lemak is crowned as a national food of ours. It’s everywhere in Malaysia and eaten at any time of day by people from all walks of life and of different ethnicities.

In Malay, lemak means “fat,” and the fat in this case comes from the fresh coconut milk used to cook the rice, making it fragrant and rich. The sweet-smelling rice is traditionally served with roasted peanuts, ikan bilis (fried anchovies), a bed of spicy and sweet sambal, hard-boiled egg, and cucumber slices. Let’s not also forget the usual side dishes like fried chicken and sotong.

You can find it at Bukit Tinggi, Klang., behind a Hong Leong Bank, with its tables and chairs placed outdoors, in the alley along the row of shops. It’s famous for its nasi lemak with fried chicken as well as Indomie goreng. It is the best place u can taste the origin of bumbung nasi lemak. Hope u never miss to taste nasi lemak.
